Passionate about journalism...
Journalism was for me an opportunity to travel both physically and in my mind, and to satisfy my curiosity by meeting people from a wide range of backgrounds and cultures. It was an opportunity to write on a variety of subjects, from the Inuit in Canada, to the history of French fishermen in Iceland, to the work of truck drivers in Europe, etc.
For around two decades, I have refocused my work on environmental issues, writing articles for Le Monde Diplomatique, La Maison Ecologique, Ecologik, Systèmes Solaires, etc., for magazines published by Swiss government entities and for non-governmental organisations such as Mountain Wilderness.
…working for associations
I am very interested in the history of the landscape, built heritage and housing that are more in tune with today's environmental and energy challenges. Driven by my enthusiasm, I have therefore founded two associations committed to these themes: Les Amis de l'Ecozac (in Paris when I lived there), and négaWatt Switzerland.
The first association led to the creation of the first Ecoquartier in Paris. Its work was rewarded in 2006 with a European Solar Prize. The second, négaWatt Suisse, founded in 2019 on the model of its French namesake, aims to promote sobriety as an integral part of our lifestyles. I am also the author of two books on different eco-neighborhoods and exemplary buildings in France. Finally, I regularly take part in debates related to the current environmental challenges.
…and fascinated by nature
What greater pleasure than hiking and feeling the power of the nature when this pleasure is shared with others? And why not take the opportunity to acquire knowledge about the surrounding landscape? Walking, breathing, resting on the grass, warming up by a fire, sharing a convivial moment and making new experiences, this is what I propose to you.
So don't hesitate to contact me, I will be happy to get back to you!
