From Basel Land to Solothurn

Next tour on

Leaning on a medieval stone wall, you will feel the contrast between the past and the present. With the ruin of Schauenburg as a backdrop, the trail takes us through thick, green forests with boundary stones marking the border between Basel-Land and Solothurn. Our next stop is Schartenflue, the main destination of the hike, offering amazing views of the borders and the ‘Triregio’. Exhausted but happy, we will reach Gempen village.
