Step into a history-rich region of the Jura
Bonfol is a Swiss village located on the border with France. During both World Wars, it was situated near the demarcation line between the Allies and Germany. This turbulent history shaped the region's identity. Today, we enjoy the serene ponds of Bonfol and Vendlincourt, nestled amidst thriving forests. Expansive cereal fields and open landscapes gradually give way to gently undulating hills and dramatic cliffs that encircle St-Ursanne.
This hike offers a diverse route, featuring wide paths, stretches of road, and forest trails. Expect a few climbs, especially in the second half, which will add a bit of challenge to the adventure.
